Lucretia Alexander remembered her mother as Agnes Tolliver, born in Washington County, Virginia, enslaved, first held by a man she called Qualls Tolliver, later willed to Peachy, and carried to Mississippi. No contemporary record of this Agnes has yet been located by this archive.
